This is the Healthy Savour Way program.
Today, our guest is the editor of the Mutevazi Lezzetler books series, Banu Atabay.
We will talk about the Mutevazi Lezzetler and also she will give us an dessert recipe from her book.

-Which recipe will you cook today?
-It is German Cake.
-You have chosen a dessert recipe for today.
-Yes, i hope that it will be sweet beginning.
-So nice! Could you please tell us the ingredients?
-Of course! German Cake has three parts. The dough, medium cream and upper cream.
-For the dough:
1 cup warm water
1 matchbox sized yeast
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Flour, as much as the mixture gets in
7 tbsp vegetable oil
For the medium cream:
2 cups milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 pack vanilla
For the upper cream:
1 + 1/2 cups water
1 + 1/2 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 pack vanilla
-As you told, this cake will have three layers.
-Which is the first one?
-We will prepare the dough at first.It has three steps, but it is not hard to cook.
-It is very delicious, and finding the ingredients very easy.
-Yes, i think that the viewers also noticed it. It is very easy to find it.
-Ok,can we start?
-Firstly, we are pouring warm water into the mixing bowl. It is very important to use warm water.
-We are adding the yeast. As you know it is sold 42 grams packages.
-We are adding the 1 tbsp granulated sugar.
-About 1/4 tsp salt.
-Firstly, we are dissolving the yeast and the sugar in the mixture, by fingertips.
-After dissolvinf the yeast and the sugar, we are adding the oil into the mixture.
-We are using vegetable oil,instead of margarine or butter. Do you prefer using it?
-Yes, generally we are using vegetable oil at our recipes. But, there are some special recipes which we have to use butter.
-I want to talk about your books.
-"Mutevazi Lezzetler" is the name of your book serial, no?
- We are aiming to make it a serial, includes 20 books.
-5 of them have been published, already.
-The first one is, general recipes.
-And pilaf recipes.
-We are going to publish "Meatballs Recipes" book.
-And we are working for the others also.
-Banu Atabay has an electronic book also.
-It is the first published electronic book of Turkey.
-To save the time, you have prepared the dough of the dessert before.
-Let's show it to our viewers.
-The dough, which is prepared with the mentioned ingredients, reaches to this size.
-We will cover it with cyling film.
-We are shaping the dough into balls.
-It must be hard to reach to correct density for cooking this kind of recipes, is not it?
-No, not for me.
-After placing all of the dough balls into the tray, we are resting them for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
-It is not a must. But, it is advised.
-So, while resting the dough, we can prepare the medium cream.
-We should use cold milk.
-Adding 1 cup sugar.
-Adding 1/2 cup of flour.
-Are you giving all the measures like this way? With spoon,glass or etc.?
-Yes all of them. To make the people measure them easily.
-So everyone can easily measure them, by this way.
-Now I'm mixing the flour with cold milk.

-Yes, i do.
-So you have books and websites, how many recipes do you have?
-I tried about 1500 of them.
-Have you tried all of them?
-Yes, i have done.
-I don't post all of the recipes to this website. Our members are also posting. So, in total, we have about 12000 recipes. And, ıt is increasing day by day.
-So are you eating the ones, which you have cooked?
-Unfortunately, just small pieces for checking the meal...
if i eat all of them, i get really too much weight.
-But you seem very fit.
-I can get weight very easily. So i have to pay attention...
-So you are eating small pieces of your recipes.
-Yes, definitely. I think that, people should eat everything, but with attention.
-Yes, it must be a balanced.
-For the cream:..
..1 + 1/2 cups water..
..1 + 1/2 tbsp cocoa..
..3 or 4 tsp flour..
..1 pack vanilla..
We are adding the vanilla into the water..
We are mixing it, before placing over the heat.
-Did not we add the vanilla?
-We will add it later.
-Is there any reason of adding adding the vanilla later?
-Yes, to keep its taste,..
..it also gives a nice smell.
-The visitors of your website and the ones, who buy your books, will be able to read your autobiography.
-You have graduated from a very different branch.
-So, how are you related with cooking recipes?
-I have graduated from Polish Literature and Language.
-I have studied about Polish language in Warsaw.
-Now we are at the step of serving, right?
-Could you please show us how to serve it?
-We are cutting our sandwiches into 2 pieces.
-Is it important that the sandwiches to be hot or cold?
-Yes, they must be cold.
..but, it is advised to use medium cream warm.
And, it is advised to use the upper cream a little bit hotter than medium cream.
-So it is the highlight!
-Yes. You can cook the upper cream with chocolate also,..
..but we used cocoa to decrease the cost.
The density of the cream may be a little bit thicker than this one also.
