Welcome to Mutevazi Lezzetler Cuisine.
Today we are cooking Waffle Cake. A honouring recipe.
The ingredients are easy to find and economic.
So, let's check the ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar or castor sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sunflower oil
1 pack vanilla
1 + 1/2 packs baking powder
3 cups sifted flour
For Upper Side:
7 or 8 pieces of waffle
1/2 cup sultanas
So, let's start to cooking it...
Seperate the whites and the yolks.
Don't worry, we will use all of them. We never waste!
For making the cake more puffy, we are separating them.
Now, we are adding 1 cup of castor sugar into the egg whites.
We have used castor sugar, but you can use granulated sugar also.
Now we are frothing it..
As you can see, it has turn into white cream.
We are adding 1/2 cup sunflower oil.
Adding 1 cup milk..
Blending it for a while.
Now, we will add the sepparated yolk into the mixture..
Adding some salt in it, but it is not a must..
Adding it into the mixture..
You will notice that, the cake will grow up too much by this method.
Blending it for a while more..
Sifting the flour - which is already sifted - once more, while adding it into the mixture.
Sifting the flour a few times, makes the cake grow.
You know, it is very important to cook great cakes.
It is the second cup..
And, this is the third..
While adding the third cup of flour, we are also adding 1 + 1/2 packs of baking powder and 1 pack vanilla.
And, blending it again..
We got a perfect cake's mixture, which is a little bit thicker than normal..
I will explain its reason later.
These are the broken waffles..
Don't forget this: while mixing the cake's mixture, always stir it from one side to another.
We need a cake mould with this size.
It is greased.
We are pouring half of the mixture into the mould.
That is enough.
We are placing the broken waffles onto the cake mixture.
After cooking the cake, you will not notice them in your mouth, but you will get the taste.
You can increase or decrease the measurement of the waffles, however you want.
I want to show it.
We are placing 1/2 cup of sultanas over the waffle layer.
We are generally using 1 + 1/2 cups granulated sguar for baking the cakes.
But the waffle is sweet also. So we are using just 1 cup of sugar for this cake.
The sultanas are washed, by this way.
It seems like this.
We are pouring rest of the cake mould over this layer very carefully.
Now it is ready to bake.
We will cook it in the oven, which is preheated to 170 C, for about 55-60 minutes.
But you can control it time to time, after the first 25 minutes. But, definitely do not open the door of the oven at the first 25 minutes.
It has grown up very well. It is hot yet.
Reversing may be difficult.
We are placing the palte over the mould..
As you can see, it is very beautifully baked. And it was easy to remove it from the mould.
It is advised to remove it from the mould, after cooling it down.
