Sponge Cake
Welcome to "Mutevazi Lezzetler" Cuisine!
At this video, we are going to share a frequently asked recipe.
"Sponge Cake"
Let’s see the ingredients at first. Then we will see how to cook it.
4 eggs
1 cup castor sugar
2 tablespoonful butter (about 3.5 ounces)
4 + 1/2 tbsp flour
1 + 1/2 tbsp wheat starch
1 pack vanilla
1 pack baking powder
1 pinch salt
Let’s see how to cook it!
Firstly, we are separating the yolks and the whites of the eggs.
The yolks and the whites are staying in separate bowls.
We are adding very little salt into the whites.
We are blending, until it turns into white totally.
Ok, it is ready! If you reverse it, and it does not pour down…
…it means that it is ready.
We are putting it aside now.
We are adding 1 cup castor sugar onto the yolks.
You can use granulated sugar instead of castor sugar also.
We are blending it also, until it turns into white totally.
It is homogenously mixed, and its color is lightened.
We are doing all these processes for making the dough puff up more.
We are adding about 3.5 ounces melted butter onto the mixture.
We are blending it for a while more.
We are adding the sifted flour onto the mixture.
Wheat starch..
Baking powder..
Vanilla.
We are blending it for a while more again.
We can add the egg whites into the mixture now.
As you can see, it has a great consistency!
We are mixing it very gently by a wooden or plastic spoon just for a while.
We have a great mixture now!
Now we are pouring the cake mixture into the greased cake mould.
We are flattening the surface.
We are going to bake it in the oven, which is preheated to 338 F, for about 1 hour.
We never ever open the door of the oven at the first 25 minutes.
Now we can place it into the oven.
It is baked. We can remove the cake from the mould.
We will transect it into 2 or 3 pieces.
Then, you can use any kind of cream or fruits or chocolate to prepare your favorite cake.
Today, we have shared the recipe of “Sponge Cake”, the basic of the most delicious cream cakes.
